With the festive season already here, many of us have a list of compulsory work and family events with a few social gatherings in-between, and no end in sight until the new year.
Having more social events jam-packed into one month than any other time of the year means the dreaded ‘nothing to wear’ moments are almost inevitable.
The question of how to keep your look updated without becoming unsustainable is always in front of our minds. So after prepping the best pieces from our wardrobes (and our friends’ wardrobes), we headed over to the Australian fashion rental site Glam Corner to see what we could borrow from them.
These are the outfits we’ll be wearing this festive season (and you can totally borrow them!)
GEORGIA, OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
Jasmine Vines Mini Dress: “This dress would be super cute to wear to any summer event! I love that you can dress it up or down which is why it can be suited to either a formal or super casual event. It’s definitely an eye catcher with its floral patterns and vibrant yet simple colours. I would wear this light cotton dress with a simple heel or a casual sandal.”
Ariella Pantsuit: “This Pantsuit would be perfect for a formal event. This simple yet elegant design its sure to be quite the showstopper! I’d wear it with some simple black accessories or even with some bold coloured accessories to really emphasise the outfit itself.”
Duke Dress: “You can never go wrong with a crisp white mini dress for any event. With its fitting appearance and long sleeves it gives a graceful look that will catch anyone’s eye. I’d finish this look with a pair of summer wedges and a simple clutch.”
ISOBEL, CONTENT ASSISTANT
Synchronize Wrap Dress: “I’ll be wearing this wrap dress as my Christmas Day outfit! I like that I can dress it up for family dinner, or dress it down to be comfortable for a day of socialising. Natural linen and silk with a 100% cotton lining means it’ll be perfect for the warmer Summer weather.”
Chapter One Dress: “I love this light and breezy white dress for my New Years Eve look. Subtle and simple, it allows for the warm weather but still looks dressed up when matched with some gold jewellery and neutral heels. I can see myself wearing this through the day with family, and on to watch the fireworks with friends.”
Juno Dress: “I’ll wear this elegant maxi dress to my work holiday party. The muted red, with silver floral design has the perfect festive aesthetic. I also love that I’ll be dressed up while still feeling comfortable.”

Never one to shy away from a “onesie”, a jumpsuit is the easiest – and for me who doesn’t wear a lot of dresses, also the comfiest – way to put together a statement outfit. With a few or minimal accessories it’s so versatile there’s nowhere this festive coloured jumpsuit wouldn’t be a hit!”
